Individuation: Finding the Roots of Purpose

With Andrea Weiss and Carrie Sword | $40 members and $45 for nonmembers

Arriving at an authentic sense of purpose is like falling in love. When it really happens, you come to feel it deeply and know it surely. It animates how you experience everything. Getting there is the topic of this workshop. We’ll start with creative movement and by shining a light on the interconnection between soma and psyche, especially through body feelings and dreams. We’ll trace the inborn urge toward self-actualization that travels through both. The resulting process is what Jungian psychology calls “individuation.” We’ll provide examples of individuation that have led to the roots of purpose in various people. And we’ll show you how to recognize inner promptings toward this unfolding in yourself. Discussion, brief exercises, and Q&A will be interspersed throughout the workshop.
