Yin and Yoga Nidra for the Summer Solstice

Fall2017TULA109.jpg

As we move into summer (warm weather, gardening, sports, road trips, outside activities) slowing down becomes essential. This day is summer’s height, midsummer, the longest day and the shortest night of the earth’s solar year. Solstice means “standing of the sun” and we can connect to this great turning point in the earth’s yearly cycle by taking a moment to stop, be still, and look back at our own unique journey.

In Brianna's workshop we'll wake into the new season with a soft, still, deep, and nurturing yin practice that focuses on the meridian lines associated with summer (heart & small intestine). We’ll connect with the life, warmth, and maturity energies associated with the element of fire. We'll close our practice with an extended guided deep relaxation journey (Yoga Nidra) that includes visualization to help us feel grounded and refreshed as we forge our way into summer.
