We have at least three opportunities each day when we eat our meals to nourish our well-being with nutrition, calm, and connection. Ayurveda, yoga's sister science, recommends specific practices that many of us also learned growing up, but how many of them are we actually doing?
In this workshop, we will explore and revisit some of the aspects of our relationship with food that may be able to nourish our well-being better than it is right now. Workshop facilitator Kami Kessel will offer basic Ayurveda considerations for food, informed by her work helping people recover from eating disorders, body image struggles, and PTSD, all of which can impact people's ability to digest food well.
Along these lines, you will get a chance to consider whether current popular food fads are helping or hurting you in your situation. You will create your own customized plan for optimizing food's role in your well-being. You will also enjoy yoga practices to support digestion and body peace.
