Carrie will use yogic traditions and Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way to support you in developing skills to listen to your inner-self. You will establish a weekly asana practice that will build strength and stamina through challenging and relaxing postures and breath work. You will grow a holistic approach for self-care and empowerment using Cameron’s book, her techniques, Carrie’s guidance, and a tribe of supportive people who will hold a sacred space for self-discovery. Experience what it is like to have fun and engage in activities that promote creativity through activity!
Please purchase The Artist's Way book prior to the first class and bring it with you to each class. We will begin the book together and chapters will be assigned after the first class. I look forward to meeting you and enjoying this journey together. There will be NO reading required before the workshop begins.

Carrie Garcia is Carrie Your Yogi, Well-Being Coach, Yoga and Meditation teacher (RYT 560+ hours) and Wedding Officiant. She is certified in yoga throughout the lifespan. Carrie creates spaces for people to share movement, meditation and laughter. She grew up in Minnesota in the 70’s and 80’s immersed in music, watching her mother practice yoga from a library book. She is a Zen Buddhist and teaches meditation and mindfulness throughout the Twin Cities. She brings her passion for yoga and mindfulness to adults and youth with an intention to decrease bullying, isolation, anxiety and increase compassion, connection and well-being. With specialized training in Vinyasa, Yin, and Rainbow Yoga, Carrie offers Vision Board classes and is the creator of “Yoga and The Artist’s Way” and "Tree Hugging Yoga". She motivates yogis to play and connect! For all ages and abilities, Carrie supports a place of belonging and introspection so you can share yourself fully with the world.
